With five years experience in the field of creating and working with websites and hosting, we know the ins and outs of the trade well. midnightcoder.ca specializes in creating low-cost script driven websites, and enhancing existing sites with new features. We also perform preventative maintenance and implement security upgrades where needed.
We have extensive experience working with popular scripts such as phpBB, WordPress, OSCommerce, Coppermine, and many others. When selecting a script for a particular job our first concern is always security, and when we’re satisfied with that we suggest the best match of features and functionality to our clients.
Good, clear communication gives us an advantage, and allows us to complete a job in a more timely and satisfactory way than some of our competitors.
We rely heavily on Instant Messaging programs such as MSN Messenger (Windows Live Messenger), Yahoo Messenger and GoogleTalk. Email is of course a standard method that we utilize fully.
We’ve found that these methods of communication work very well, as they provide precise records of what a client asks. We do use telephone support in certain cases, where necessary, but we prefer not to for design related consultations as it’s too easy for details to be lost or misunderstood, even with good note taking. Instant messaging is far superior for this, as it also allows links to examples and other material to be exchanged freely.
midnightcoder.ca is a Verified PayPal merchant, and we conduct about 98% of our business through PayPal.com. In extenuating circumstances we can make other arrangements, through MoneyBookers.com or Money Order by mail.
First time customers will be required to pay a deposit up front, proportionate to a percentage of the total estimate for their site. Monthly contracts with recurring payments must be kept paid at least one month in advance. Annual contracts may require a deposit, or to be paid entirely in advance.
Since we do so much custom work of varying duration and difficulty, we have no hard and fast rules for billing. We always stay very competitive in our quotes, but take things on a case-by-case basis.
